| I thought 23 Reg was in the Monchengladbach area but I don't see a mention anywhere, I did my SMQC there in late 60s (that is of course if I am remembering right)

| Yes 23 Regt had a detachment at Monchengladbach in Ayrshire Barracks. Their main headquarters was however in Duisberg (or might have been Dusseldorf, the memory is fading now) They were a transport movement regiment and mainly did the paperwork for all the rail movements for 79 railway | |
