| Hi Keith,
Borgward - Great car for the time and trouble free. Did you ever have a problems with your car ? thought they looked great with bags of chrome etc. Would have preferred a four door to have made it easy with the kids etc.

| Hey Les,
You must have had some complicated machinery in the RCT (RASC in my day), what with the craft you were operating out of Marchwood. !!

| Yes Jimsigs I suppose some of it was, however when I went to Marchwood it was to train as heavy crane op, I didn't fancy that so had a word with the OC and arranged a change to Movements, hence I left Marchwood and moved to Longmoor, most complicated I came across was Telex Les | |

| I know how you feel. My first computer was a Sinclair ZX81, went on from there with a Sharp MZ80K, then an Apple and finally built my first one running on 'Basic' operating system. Loads of computer parts shops along the Edgware Road in London, where I lived. | |

| Yes Jimsigs, this is just another of the three that I have seen, have been doing my family tree (taken over from one of my brothers) in all about 30yrs I have over 9000 people on it and trying to keep up is almost impossible, these coats of arms seem to be plentiful, don't know which if any are correct, my family used to be yeomen at Arundel Castle (back to the services again lol) | |

| Back to cars again, sorry that I wandered off the subject. We had a national serviceman who owned an old post was Mercedes 170VA. Presume that's all he could afford. Anyway, I remember he being the last NS we had in 6 Brigade (Munster), being given a huge sendoff complete with this car. If you happen to read this Nobby, have a good laugh over the occasion you had when you went home on leave with three mates and buried a couple of jerrycans of petrol somewhere in Belgium and couldn't find them on the return journey. You got 'X marks the spot' wrong. Wonder if it is still cruising the streets of Bolton. Perhaps its in Fred Dibnah's back yard. Anyway, he is a picture of that model. | |
