Not sure if you have this piece of history on Hermann Göring (Flak) Kaserne later Oxford Barracks Münster:
107th (King’s Own) Regiment RAC moved into the barracks on the 29 May 45, I have found evidence from original documentation that the former use was the Rear HQ for the 9th US Army.

Dear Alan (Yates) thank you kindly for your response, I understand the difficulties and I will pass on to Alfred the communication with you, he may need a different strategy it seems ... I and others can only do limited work for him..? .... I was again at depot during your dates with Irish Guards, indeed I spent half of my 13 adult years in training institutions which I enjoyed mixing with so many different Corps and regiments it opens your eyes a little to what a resource we all were and how it has been frittered away, they do a lot currently with so much less and I am proud of them all... our days were truly some of the simplest and happiest .... Apologies for my late reply .. Happy New year to you and all on the site Brian Eager

Saturday Night (13 Jan 2024) ZDF German TV - Murder in Oxford Barracks
German Private Detective Wilsberg investigates!
Wilsberg: Ein Detektiv und Gentleman
A taxi driver is shot. Just as John Cross appears, pretending to be a historian. He was once stationed as a soldier (officer?) in Münster. The old Oxford barracks from back then are being demolished and a new residential park is to be built in their place. And voilà: this is where the body was found. It's also a nice move: the changing city plays a role in the history of the building.
From then on, a wide variety of set pieces are mixed into a quite complicated plot. It ranges from basalt cobblestones stolen from the construction site (a running joke for which Ekki, the tax inspector at the tax office, and his boss are responsible) to a family tragedy and in the end even the IRA. And a hearing aid also plays a small, ultimately decisive role... Yes, you have to pay attention in order to be able to follow. The leisurely narrative style, however, suits this. By the way, Bielefeld: In every episode, the city is mentioned at least once, usually in a supposedly humorous context. But even this 80th mention of Bielefeld is anything but funny. And there are even more such funny or amusing moments as in every "Wilsberg". But, as always, take a look for yourself. Don't trust any review! Because: It's all a matter of taste. Especially when it comes to crime novels.
