No good checking with me Gordon .. he's a bloody Easterner to us in Lotus Land .. I'm in Abbotsford, British Columbia and he is located over the Rocky Mountains in Winnipeg, Manitoba some 1800 miles away.

Hi Brum,

Paddy Clare was RSM in my time. S'trueth ! Trunk Howard made RSM did he ? Was SQMS in my time of HQ Sqn. Did he turn out to be a good'un. Also Lofty Moore reached high rank I understand. He was my opposite number being the Regimental Signal Sgt.

with reference to the cockroaches, whilst staying in Buller Bks, Munster, some clown thought it would be a good Idea to spray the kitchens and mess hall during the morning, consequences being we had to eat our mid-day meal with dead bodies falling down everywhere, too many jokes about extra meat rations
