I don't know why Lidl have changed their rolls in the freezer, they are now just rolls and used to be the proper brotchen, thats another thing you don't forget the taste of Very Happy

Hi Les,
Yep 1420H had a Capt. Herrtage,but it could of been Heritage !!!
Not very helpful I know.
He left about 1986 - ish.I'll look in our Regimental Journals later....

Hi Les,
Capt. J.C.P. Herrtage was the Regt. Sigs. Officer of the 14th20th Kings Hussars in 1983. Found info in Regt.Journal.
Not sure when he left but I would guess around 1985-87.

in about 1986 promoted to Major and posted to 19 Inf Bde in Colchester. No sign of him returning to R.D. so I guess he left in 1987 or transffered.

Thanks for that Pinky, sounds like the same chap to me, worked with him for 10yrs at a private school, if it is the same chap he is now a Bursar, very much a gentleman and lots of fun to work with, I did send him an e-mail telling him about the site so he may come on, have to wait and see Very Happy bounce

The RGJ were in Celle when I was in Hohne,quite the outfit !!
I heard unofficially that several of them were hand picked by the IRA for special attention.....next time they were over 'there'........which would of been mid to late 80's.
Were'nt they sometimes called the green mafia ?? I guess it depends on which battalion it was.

Don't know, not sure about any dates, first time I came across them was Munster, late 60's I moved their MFO into a Barracks (forget the name) and moved the Royal Surreys jout, first night out I believe they were all CB for a week, some trouble in town, I was told drunken
