| I had a hand in building the area in 1976. There was a large WW2 bunker next to the windmill, behind the dias, which had to be disposed of. The windmill is a listed building so blowing the bunker was a no go, it was too hard to break up so in the end a large hole was dug by the side and underneath and it was pushed in the hole with a couple of AVRE's and buried. Quite an achivement.
