Bugger !

I was about to say that, in my opinion, one of the nicest accents is heard from a Welsh woman.
(There are reservations to this by the way !).

I have a weakness for the accents of women of the Celtic regions, they must be from the rural districts though !

Pinky, me old Donkey Walloper, you fail to declare your region or age, I can't remember where your regt recruited from.

Enlighten us, Sir !

Ah yes.

Well, my last regt (RA) recruited from the Manchester area. Sad

If I could afford the move, Canada is the place I would choose.

South Cheshire's not bad though.

You wan't to listen to those Aussies on the TV show 'Anything to Declare'. Every sentence sounds like they wan't reassurance by raising the voice at the end. Gets on my nerves.

I agree Jim.

Watching a programme on our Captain General the other night when the Aussie Prime Minister came on.

Now I've always considered her to be quite fanciable, then she started talking.

As we used to say in my youth, "She's allroit 'till she opens 'er gob !" geek

That's the mob mate. Used to call themselves "The Manchester Gunners" but the idea was wearing a bit thin.

A Lancashire battlegroup! Yep, I can see how they would've caused trouble-in the Sinbin no doubt.

We went with the Irish Hussars for ours, late 70s. All well behaved I have to say.

Can you remember what guns 2 Fd were using Pinky ?

There is a new accent that has recently emerged, it is a sort of Afro Caribbean patois but spoken by white yoofs - I believe is known as "Rude Boy". I speak it all the time, especially when collecting my Pension. Cool Cool
