Thanks Ciphers,
That's great. Looks like someone has doctored a blazer badge although nowadays there's always someone out there producing a badge or medal to commemorate some event.

Quite a selection Len, but I only have one blazer. Talking about blazers, You don't see that many being worn these days, I only use mine for the odd reunion and its put away again for next year etc. Some of the R Sigs blazer badges are very poor in their design.
How about these

I've often thought what 'ugly' representations of Jimmy are on offer, even at the Blandford Museum Shop. This is Jimmy why can't these suppliers honour it.

Steve,
Don't forget that Basil Coad also commanded the 27th Infantry Brigade in Korea until 1951. This was before the formation of the 1st Commonwealth Division (25th Bde - Canadians, 28th Brigade - Aussies and Kiwis, and 29th Bde - Brits.)

DSO* = Distinguished Service Order & Bar
Officer of the Legion of Merit (US)
DL = Deputy Lieutenant of Wiltshire.

Mike,
Talking about not needing bling etc, my old Commandant at Harrogate Colonel (later Maj-Gen Sir Kenneth) Kendrew won FOUR DSO's in his service and would have known Basil Coad as he was also a commander in Korea.
Another Commandant who did not need bling was Col Carne, who won a VC in Korea.
