| Talking about seasickness I've gotta brother that gets seasick standing on the pier watching a boat dock! And Colin, hope you find your sea legs after Skipton. As I go to Guernsey every year on the ferry, and you get some pretty rough crossings,I'm pretty aclimatised. If I was making a world cruise I'd join Colin and get "run in" on the Canals! ------ Don | |

| I'd love to take a Rhineland cruise but being that close to my old 'stomping grounds' and not being able to get to them (i.e. away from the cruise's itinerary) would nearly kill me!
There are some excellent deals with various travel packages but one is sort of 'locked in' to those itineraries. One can get from Calgary (where I am) to Frankfurt, for instance, for under a $1000.00...quite a bit under, actually...and be in Deutschland for 2 weeks. Never went for it, though. When I was able to, $700 or whatever, may as well have been $700,000; I simply couldn't afford it no matter which way one cut it. Oh well.....
The closest I have got to a cruise in recent years, and even this is several years ago, is taking the ferry from the Lower Mainland (Vancouver area) over to Victoria, through the Gulf Islands. A great 90-minute trip with some spectacular scenery. If one was lucky, it was sometimes possible to spot a pod or two of orcas (killer whales) cavorting in the Straight of Juan de Fuca. Usually, however, I just flew from Calgary to Victoria, where I once had family. Don't see much from a plane! LOL | |

| Only me and dandc online at the moment, but again I have been moved to Luton, a place I only ever visited for air-trooping to Germany. The only thing I can think of is that my ISP is routing me onto t'internet via Luton instead of Manchester? | |

Not you IP, it`s Google,I have been moving south for some time now.Started off in Aberdeen and the last time i looked i was in Wales. If you have Google Earth, fly to somewhere you are familiar with.and check out the landmarks indicators..Very few are where they should be. |
