You will when you click on "view the whole list'. It's a world map and everyone on line will be indicated by a yellow pointer. Click on that and you get the name of registered guests or 'anonymous' if they're not logged in. You'll also see a navigator on the left side that allows you to move around and either blow it up or zoom out. If you get in very close you'll get street names, but don't take that as gospel...it has me out by several miles, but it's still a good system.

Yes...he's probably cooking up a batch of Chicken Kiev for Sunday supper.

For me, there is already a deviation of about 25 km.

at the moment i am the only user on line,my bubble indicates princess gardens edinburgh,actual location,gateshead,north east england.

So come on you technical guys, how are these bubbles allocated?

It has something to do with you ip-adress. Towns/villiages and some areas have got their own ip-adress. A part of your ip-adress indicates the provider, annother part the location were you are.

With this informations it is possible, to indicate bubbles for the users being online on a world map.

Bierstube...yes...these were smaller than gasthofs, which could be small to begin with. Again, not sure what the distinction really would be between a stube and a gasthof.

Just as, reportedly, Inuit (that's "Eskimo" for all you non-Canucks out there) has over a thousand words for "snow", I'm kinda guessing German has numerous words for what we would call a pub; maybe not thousands, but several....lemme see....gasthof, gastaette, bierstube, gasthaus, bierkeller, rat[h]skeller (a beer hall in the basement of the local town hall), just to name a few that I can think of off the top of my head.

Well the two in CA are still there, one in the hangar and one on the salt flats. There is another on the east coast of Oz, around Sydney and I saw a quick flash of Recymech as he logged in from his poolside in Cyprus or somewhere in that area. He wasn't there for long. Being ex-REME he probably dropped his laptop into the pool

Hey Nobby, it goes with the cap badge ... its over 60 years since I had the honour of wearing the Hampshire Regt cap badge (1946), then the Kings Crown Royal Hampshire Regt, rebadged to Parachute Regt Army Cadet Force ... then 16 years Royal Signals under both crowns .. makes me feel bloody old, but quite as old as our buddy Don ... by the way our Californian Phantom is still on line at Moffit AFB, he seems to live in the third parking spot opposite the main entrance to a Gimongous building ..
