....or at least that's the title we finished up with most just say 5 4 sqn
Now sadly disbanded but we do have a reunion every year

I first came across 54 Sqn in early 1955 when I was posted to SSO Hildesheim at Tofrek Barracks. The SSO was in Tofrek East, where the armoured units were located and 54 Company as it was then were in Tofrek West. I was quartered with 54, being in the RASC,
and I remember 54 were part of 33 Lorried Infantry Brigade and wore the 11 Armd Div flash.
In later years when I was in the TA my final unit was with 260 Sqn which was part of 161 Ambulance Regt RCT (V) and on my final two week exercise in Germany we were working with 54 Sqn.
For me the wheel had turned full circle.

Correction. Just looked at some old docs and 54 werea located in Tofrek East and not West.
