| When I was in Boys, the COs driver was in the 17/21st. He had a fine set of Blues complete with "Chain Mail" shoulder thingys - very smart. This is my Son when he was the Farrier Major of the Life Guards who is also very smart but, I would say that, wouldn't I? | |

| Thanks everyone ... you're right I will always remember the date, 6 June is a date that was already etched in my memory. At least Edward and Diane's two boys were fully grown at the time and living away from home, the eldest was 21 and the youngest 19 at the time .. again thanks.

| Well chaps, Here is the first showing of wearing the Queen's Diamond Anniversary Medal. HM is reported in the Mail as giving her permission to wear this although not officially passed for wearing yet. Also, I see Prince Harry has a slight mixture of uniform - a blue AAC beret with a Household brigade Badge. Comment please !! | |

| I am always puzzled that AAC and Tankie berets seem to look smaller and thus smarter! I wonder if their's are from another manufacturer? It is something I noticed as early as the sixties, when I had a tankie beret.
The average army beret always appears 'big' and un- shrinkable! | |
