| Would anyone know, if I were to send for a copy of my army records, is it likely to show anything, I can't remember the Ssgt's surname and without that it is almost impossible to find out any more, I must also say at this time that my unit were not involved in any way apart from the fact that I was on duty when I called the SIB, and I was never called forward or interviewed about the case at all

| I always thought that, in the first instance, you were busted back to your substansive rank.
Can I assume that it would take a court martial to bust a man further ?

| Thing was I was only Corporal at the time and everything seemed to go so easily, he was my next door neighbour and by the time I got home (next morning) from duty he had been locked up in Duisberg, never saw him again | |

| It was a court martial..
Can only speak for Signals
CO can bust a L/Cpl CSO (Chief Signals Officer, normally a Col.)can bust a Cpl Court Martial for Sgt and above.
Thats as far as i remember for substansive ranks. |
