| Ah! the Cheshires - 22nd of Foot Used to use these numbers when calling out at Tombola in Cyprus (1955) 24th The Taffys 28th Gloucestershires 39th/54th Dorsets 29th Worcestershires etc, etc
2nd Afghanistan War 1878-80 The old 66th Regt of Foot (Berkshires) were there. Used to visit their memorial in the Forbury Gardens, Reading when I was a lad living in Reading during the WW2. It's in the shape of a rather large Lion on a plinth.
